Two decades ago, a vision for a sustainable future for palm oil was set in motion. Today, on the 20th anniversary of RSPO, we celebrate our incredible journey as a global partnership to make palm oil sustainable. Guided by our world-class Standards and shared values, we have made significant strides in our quest, but the journey continues. Together, we have proven that transformation is possible, and it is collective action that continues to reap positive change. As we mark this milestone, we reflect with pride on the progress we've made and look ahead with renewed determination to shape a better future, as envisioned in that founding year. Here's to the next 20 years of impactful change across People, Planet and Prosperity. For more, visit our website: https://rspo.org/next20/ #RSPO #RSPONext20 #SustainablePalmOil

🌿Sustainable Palm Oil in #LatinAmerica: AAK & Solidaridad renew collaboration!🌿 Solidaridad and AAK have renewed a partnership to certify production and promote sustainable practices and zero deforestation in oil palm regions in Mexico. Through a specially designed pilot project involving 250 producers and 4 extraction plants, the initiative focuses on small producers. The project will assess producer needs and identify gaps as they move towards Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification. Thanks to collaboration between the RSPO, ANIAME and Jorge S. from Solidaridad in Mexico, this effort promotes responsible practices across the palm oil value chain, benefiting the environment and communities. 🌱 Read more about our work to promote palm sustainability here! https://lnkd.in/gvZxZmm5

📢 We are excited to announce the Keynote speaker for the upcoming Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue (#SPOD2024)! This year's keynote address will be delivered by Minou Schillings of The Green Spirit, known for her expertise as a Regenerative Business Facilitator and Community Weaver. She will lead the session: "Regeneration in agriculture and beyond," which will discuss how we can apply the logic and principles of regeneration and regenerative agriculture to leadership in business. SPOD2024 is taking place in Brussels on 22 May and will explore how innovative voluntary and mandatory initiatives can support emissions reduction in the palm oil supply chain, as well as how these initiatives can respect the position of smaller actors in palm oil supply chains (including smallholder farmers), to ensure they are not left behind in the journey towards becoming more sustainable. Registration will close on Friday 10 May. Don't miss your chance to register! https://lnkd.in/euXwm69S #RSPO #RSPONext20 #SustainablePalmOil

Unilever, a founding member of RSPO, and leading agritech company Meridia are putting smallholder farmers on the map – literally. Through an innovative farm mapping initiative involving meticulous data collection and close engagement with farmers, this partnership not only aids smallholders in achieving RSPO Certification and strengthening their climate resilience but also helps ensure compliance with EU Deforestation Regulations (EUDR). Most importantly, it helps smallholders seamlessly integrate into Unilever's sustainable supply chain. 🌴 Read more about it below. ⬇️ #RSPO #SustainablePalmOil #Unilever #Geomap
